Camera Raw - Week 3

Tracy

Before.
After.
Here is a before and after of the underexposed photographed that I edited in camera Raw. If you look at Tracy's dress and lipstick you can see I have pulled the colours out a bit more. I did this because when I adjusted the exposure of the photo the colours faded. I really like this photo and the background contrast between the green forestry and brown bark of the tree.

Otara Center

Before.
After (BW)

This is a portrait I took of a woman in the Otara center.Very friendly lady and loved to be photographed. I prefer the photo in colour compared to black and white but still a nice photograph. I feel the black and white doesnt do true justice to the photograph making it look a bit dull. Maybe I could have adjusted the contrast to make it stand out more or played with the highlights and shadows.

Landscape

Colour.

Greyscale.

I really like the sky in the Black and white photograph, it really stands out. To do this I turned it to greyscale then played with the colours, I took the blues right down so they were dark and would contrast with the clouds. I prefer this BW photograph compared to the portrait Bw photograph because i was able to play around with the colours and make them stand out or tone down.
