Self Directed
In my self directed task I photographed still life in the warm afternoon light. I didn't get around to photographing in the morning because well i was never able to get up early enough and never had enough time in the mornings before course.
I really liked how the Tungsten light setting on my camera gave everything a cool filter. You can see that clearly in the bottom two photos.
Green and red are contrasting colours so i found this green pot and red chopping board. I really like this photograph because of how the sun has created intense shadows. I boosted the contrast in this photograph and toned down the highlights so they were not exposed.
So decided to do something a little different and hang my blue dress and orange top up, Im loving how the sun is whinging from behind. Its a really nice effect and has made nice shadows. I used the Tungsten light setting on my camera which cooled the photo down and yet again I boosted the contrast. I love how the window frames the clothes.
Here i wanted to show the difference between Auto white balance and Tungsten light. In the first photograph you can see the warm yellow tones from the sun and then when i used the tungsten light setting it cooled everything down making it quite blue.
